Primary care diabetes in Norway
Abstract
Usually patients with type 1 diabetes are treated by endocrinologists or specialists in internal medicine after the age of 16–18 years, and patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care. Quality of care has improved. A National Diabetes Strategy was launched in 2006. New national clinical guidelines will soon be published.
